Do you need to recruit interpreters for a major technical conference, a reception, a business negotiation, an international sales conference or anything of the kind?

Pleitgen, Karganov und Huntington As professional conference interpreters we can offer:

Simultaneous interpreting:
The speaker's presentation is simultaneously translated into the target language. The interpreters normally sit in booths, wear headphones and interpret into microphones. The listeners in the audience who do not understand the language spoken by the speaker wear earphones and receive the authentic translation simultaneously.

Advantage:
No time is lost through the interpreting, all participants can react immediately to what the speaker said and this enables lively discussions across all language barriers.

Consecutive interpreting:
The interpreter takes notes during the speaker's presentation and afterwards translates what was said into the target language.

Advantage:
You need no conference technology.

Disadvantage:
Consecutive interpreting takes twice as long as simultaneous interpreting and cannot be recommended for technical conferences or events where more than two different languages are spoken or where there is a need for a lively exchange of opinions.

Liaison interpreting:
The interpreter is present when two or more partners have a dialogue or negotiation and will translate sentence by sentence or paragraph by paragraph from and into both languages thus trying to keep the continuous dialogue going. This mode of interpreting is also suited for legal depositions.

Advantage:
You need no conference technology.

Disadvantage:
Liaison interpreting takes twice as long as simultaneous interpreting and cannot be recommended if more than two different languages are spoken.
